we have a date

Craig's graduation, May 2010

Well, it's finally here-the date of Craig's first scans. He will be having a CT scan of his pelvis and lungs on Monday, June 21. Pray that Craig's kidney will handle the scan well. The contrast dye that is used for CT scans causes the kidneys to work hard and there is a small risk of kidney failure, particularly alarming if you have only one kidney! Pray that the cancer won't return in his other kidney, liver or lungs. Pray for our peace as the date approaches, that we would rest and wait and trust the One who heals our diseases. Following his scans, Craig will see his urologist the same day for the results.

I have read verse 11 of the following passage many times and shared it with others who needed a little Hope. In January, my Bible opened and my eyes were drawn to the entire passage. Since then I have come back to these words again and again because they are so true for our family. Your prayers are life and hope to us. Thank you all for praying on our behalf once again.

Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and He will deliver us. On Him we have set our hope that He will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many. 2 Corinthians 1:9-11
